Scientific Advisory Board

The Diabetes and Obesity Center of Excellence is guided by a Scientific Advisory Board whose members are dedicated to advancing understanding of the causes and consequences of diabetes, obesity and related metabolic and cardiovascular disorders, and to identifying new approaches to their treatment.

Administration

The Diabetes and Obesity Center of Excellence is led by Director Michael Schwartz, MD and Associate Director Karin Bornfeldt, PhD.

Faculty

Scientific leadership is shared among the faculty who head their own laboratory research programs and work as interdisciplinary teams which encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
